2025 Medicare Premiums and Deductibles
- Medicare usually releases the new Premiums and Deductibles that affect Part A and Part B in early November. We'll post those values as soon as available.
There are changes in 2025 to Standalone Part D Prescription Drug plans, as well as Part D Prescription Drug coverage in Medicare Advantage Plans, due to the Federal government's "Inflation Reduction Act of 2022".
Make sure to review your "Annual Notice of Change Letter "(ANOC) from you current Plan Carrier for the new 2025 Plan year. You should receive the ANOC letter in the mail in September. The ANOC letter will provide information on any changes to your current plan for the 2025 plan year.
2024 Medicare Part B Premiums and Deductible
The standard 2024 Medicare Part B premium will be increasing $9.80 per month, from $164.90 in 2023 to $174.70 in 2024. The 2024 annual Part B deductible will be seeing an increase as well, up $14 from $226.00 in 2023 to $240.00 in 2024.
2024 Medicare Part A Premiums and Deductibles
Medicare Part A Premiums/Deductibles
Enrollees age 65 and over who have fewer than 40 quarters of coverage and certain persons with disabilities pay a monthly premium in order to voluntarily enroll in Medicare Part A. Individuals who had at least 30 quarters of coverage or who were married to someone with at least 30 quarters of coverage will pay $278 per month in 2023, a $4 increase. Individuals who have less than 30 quarters of coverage will pay the full premium, which will be $505 per month in 2024, a $1 decrease from 2023.
The daily inpatient deductible for 2024 is $1,632 an increase of $32 from $1600 in 2023.
